When it comes to powerhouses in NXT UK, you don’t get much stronger than Dave Mastiff & Rampage Brown. Brown has been tearing through the NXT UK roster in recent weeks, trying to build up his way to the NXT UK Championship. However, when his old friend in Mastiff called him out for a match? His winning streak faces its biggest challenge yet.
A True Battle Of The Big Men
These two powerhouses would lock up, but faced a stalemate early, being equal in power. Rampage grabbed a headlock, and got shoved off but Mastiff absorbed the shoulder tackle. Mastiff went for a tackle of his own to the same effect.
Another headlock was applied, before these two hosses just charged into each other before trading forearms in the middle of the ring. Mastiff was finally dropped after Rampage left his feet for a dropkick. Needing to stay on the offensive, he’d go for a Samoan Drop, but Mastiff slipped off his shoulders and hit a big dropkick of his own.
Rampage was set up on the top rope, but he fought off Mastiff and hit a flying shoulder block to drop Mastiff again. Some clubbing blows and an elbow drop got a two count, before applying a sleeper hold. Mastiff powered back to his feet, and sent Rampage over his shoulders with a backdrop. Rampage held on, only for Mastiff to drop all his weight on Rampage’s chest.
Rampage Brown Shows His Power
Mastiff was first back to his feet, but Rampage threw the first punch. He’d be countered and hit with a lariat, before being hit with a running senton. Rampage went to the corner for another diving shoulder tackle, but was taken out of the sky with a lariat. Mastiff followed up with a pumphandle suplex for a near fall.
Rampage knew the lariat was coming next, kicking the arm out of the way and nailing a lariat of his own. He couldn’t pin Mastiff, and took a huge forearm to the back before a German Suplex. Mastiff went for Into The Void, but Rampage moved to the apron. Rampage was almost suplexed into the ring, but attacked the leg of Mastiff to drop him.
A heavy backdrop and the doctor bomb was all it took after that for Rampage Brown to net his biggest win yet in NXT UK. Who will Rampage Brown have to beat to get a shot at WALTER? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
