WWE Raw Results returned as Shayna Baszler cut a promo backstage how she’ll throw everyone out of the Royal Rumble match including Nia Jax, and Jax went on about how her back is sore from carrying her.
Watching them go back and forth is so much fun.
Jeff Jarret’s pick
Jeff Jarret joined us for his projections for the Drew McIntyre vs. Goldberg match, and he went with Goldberg.
He promised we’ll see a spear, a jackhammer, and a one, two three and a new WWE Champion.
We really hope not. Enough of bringing Goldberg and others back to show how bad the current roster is compared to then.
Mandy Rose w/Dana Brooke vs. Shayna Baszler w/Nia Jax
Nia Jax joined the commentator as Baszler and Rose locked up. Baszler went for an joint manipulation and Rose pushed her away.
Rose then went for Baszler’s right leg, and then a rear waist lock before rolling Baszler up for a pin attempt.
Baszler kicked out and nailed Rose’s left leg with a kick, and followed it with a knee for a near pinfall.
Baszler slapped on a neck lock while Jax had to defend hers and Baszler’s relationship.
Rose fought back, but Baszler hammered her down, and then hit s series of knees and a snapmare and kick to the back for a pin attempt.
Rose fought out of a neck lock, and Baszler threw her to the mat and slapped on a arm lock and stomped on it.
Baszler got in Brooke’s face when she tried to encourage Rose, and Rose rolled Baszler up for a quick pin attempt.
Rose then hit a shoulder block and ducked a kick to hit a couple of clotheslines and a face slam.
Rose drove her into a corner and hammered and kicked away.
Baszler hit Rose’s injured arm with a kick and started to work on it despite taking a couple of rights, and then hit a drop with Rose’s arm twisted.
Baszler locked in the Coquina Clutch for the submission.
We really hoped Jax would’ve put Bryan Saxton through the announce desk by the end of this.
After the match Jax and Baszler argued over who needs who, and Brooke hit Jax from behind with a dropkick off the apron. Jax rammed into Baszler and they both hit the ring post.
Brooke and Rose headed up the ramp pretty quickly after that.
WWE Raw Results returned as Jax and Baszler continued to argue over whether they had each other’s back when Charly Caruso came up to them.
They said they didn’t get along when they were champions and then mentioned Charlotte’s daddy issues.
Baszler said this would be a great time to get their rematch, and Jax agreed and they headed off to get it done.
Flair’s promise
After a recap of her earlier match, Flair was asked about seeing Evans in her father’s robe.
Flair said she’s been accused of living off of her father’s name, and said now there is literally a woman doing that for 15 minutes of fame.
She said she’s been learning from the Dirtiest Player in the Game her whole life, but she’s never chosen to go down that path.
She finished saying Evans may wear her father’s robe, but she’ll never wear her crown.
Ricochet’s chance
Adam Pearce was backstage with Ricochet and he told Ricochet that tonight was his chance to get an opportunity for the Royal Rumble.
Ricochet thanked him and said tonight could be the start of his road to WrestleMania.
AJ Styles came in and asked why Ricochet would take advice from a man that ran away from his chance at the Universal Championship. Sure, he would’ve lost, but he’d have dignity like Ricochet.
Ricochet reminded him about Styles being embarrassed at TLC and said he’ll need more than a 7 foot giant to beat him and keep him out of the Royal Rumble.
Styles told Pearce he doesn’t like him anymore, and if he doesn’t like him then Omos doesn’t like him and Omos and Pearce had a stared own as we headed to commercial.
WWE Raw Results hope they’re not going to try to recreate a Roman Reigns intimidation maneuver here.
