Last week Impact Wrestling Preview saw Rohit finally get his proof that Manik was TJP and he kinda lost his stuffing.
It was a fun exchange as Rohit railed at Scott D’Amore for the “injustice” of it, and D’Amore set a match between them for this week.
He also neglected to tell Rohit that it’s a non-title match, which Rohit took in stride after learning saying it won’t matter.
It makes sense since he’s facing TJP instead of Manik, and it’s the same kind of semantics he used when he was the X-Division Champion during his Defeat Rohit Challenge.
Rohit even went so far as to ensure the help of a mystery opponent that we can’t wait to find out who it is, and will they be the difference maker in the match?
Madman Fulton w/Ace Austin vs. Josh Alexander
After getting in Ace Austin’s face about expecting chances to be given to him a couple of weeks ago, Josh Alexander put himself squarely in the Austin and Madman Fulton’s crosshairs.
Matt Cardona came to Alexander’s aid then and the two of them defeated Austin and Fulton last week in tag action, and that’s only infuriated Fulton all the more.
This match as the potential to be the match of the night with both men bringing contrasting but high level skill sets to the match.
Alexander is one of the best mat technicians and competitors in the world, and Fulton is brutal as well and technical when it suits him, though to maybe a slightly level than Alexander.
It’s going to be fun to watch what they come up with and the show we’ll get will be worth the wait. We expect that even when there’s outside interference by Ace Austin.
Austin will do his best to help Fulton, but we think Alexander will rise to the challenge and hit toughness will be a match for what Fulton and Austin can dish out.
One thing we do hope with this one is it’ll be a good twenty minute match and not a quick ten minute or less one like we expect.
This will give them a chance to really show what they can do, plus give Austin plenty of time for his antics without interrupting the overall flow.
