In the main event of Final Battle 2020, Brody King was screwed in his chance to become Ring of Honor (ROH) World Champion. He had RUSH nearly beat, until his father La Bestia Del Ring would come in with a Steel Chair, and batter King with it. This allowed RUSH to hit The Bulls Horns, and that was it for King on that night. However, the war is not over. If La Faccion Ingornable wants to get violent? He’s got some violent friends.

Tonight, King teams up with his old buddy in PCO and ROH Tag Team legends, The Briscoes to take on RUSH, Dragon Lee, and La Bestia Del Ring. Kenny King would have been in this match, but couldn’t make the tapings due to failing a COVID-19 test before Final Battle. Instead, Flip Gordon takes his place, opposing his old Villain Enterprise allies in PCO & King. Gordon also has a shot against RUSH in his back pocket, adding even more drama to the mix.

Flip Gordon Gets Abandoned By His Team

King would get things started alongside ROH World Champion RUSH, before Bestia tagged into the match, who settled on Gordon to start the match. Mark came in, and this one finally got started with a lockup won by Briscoe, who missed a big chop in the corner before taking some from Gordon. Gordon lost control of Mark, only to be struck in the middle of the ring, who nailed a dropkick and set Mark up in the corner. He wasn’t able to get the springboard hurricanrana, instead getting hung up on the top rope.

PCO was tagged in, and just mauled Gordon with some strikes before a charge into the corner. Jay was tagged in, and choked Gordon in the corner. LFI just ignored Gordon on the outside, before he was sent outside just to be thrown back to Jay! Gordon might have been set up due to that shot at RUSH in his back pocket. King tagged in, and near caved Gordon in with a chop, who again couldn’t leave the ring due to his teammates.

La Facción Ingobernables Finally Get Involved

PCO would stomp him down, and nail the Pumphandle Bomb and running headbutt, Gordon rolling the outside and Bestia sending him right back in. Jay was back in, but lost control of Gordon who hit the springboard slingblade. All of LFI reached out for tags, and they all left him hanging before he’d be hit with Redneck Boogie by The Briscoes. LFI finally rushed the ring to break up the pinfall, starting a complete brawl.

RUSH grabbed a steel chair and whacked King in the knee outside of the ring, before whipping him with a production cable as a commercial break came. Coming back, LFI had King completely isolated in the ring, before they set him up on the outside for Lee to kick him into the ground. PCO tried to get this one back under control with Dragon Lee, before Bestia & RUSH got in with some chops, firing the monster up.

PCO & Brody King Go Wild As This One Breaks Down

Some Kobashi chops would drop everyone, clearing the ring before he hit the cannonball… Flip Gordon taking the impact. Gordon was back in the ring and took the Quebec Sidewinder, before Bestia kicked Gordon out of the ring. These two legends would trade blows, before Bestia hit the shotgun dropkick and traded blows with Jay Briscoe, before taking a discuss foreram and flopping out of the ring, RUSH taking his place and hitting a huge jumping forearm. Mark hit the dropkick, and Gordon was back to take out Mark, before taking a lariat from King.

Dragon Lee met King with a chop before being bludgeoned, thrown around the ring with two lariats and spiked in the middle of the ring with a chokeslam. King went up top, and was met by Lee, then Rush & Bestia, who took him down before Jay, Mark & PCO cleared the ring. Mark grabbed a chair and sprung over the top rope, taking out everyone on the outside but Bestia, who took a dropkick.

King grabbed a table, RUSH was set up on it outside the ring, and PCO went up top for a senton, completely missing RUSH on the way down. Another brawl broke out, and this match was thrown out as a no contest. Backstage, The Foundation looked on like a disappointed father, as Brody King was beat down with a steel chair. “This is not Ring Of Honor” was all they had to say.

As someone who dislikes Flip Gordon, this match was an absolute treat as the first five or so minutes was just him getting destroyed, which also made storyline sense! The back half was the fast and furious eight man tag team match we expected, delivering on the hype perfectly. The no-contest finish makes sense, especially as this one was more or less just a straight up brawl. Match Rating: /5 ()

Will The Foundation seek to take the rest of the gold in ROH from LFI? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
