The landscape of professional wrestling is constantly changing, and Impact Wrestling will reportedly lose two talents, including one of their top stars when their contracts expire.
As of now, it looks like PCO and Sami Callihan will be leaving the company, with Sami posting on his Instagram that on October 1 he’ll be a free agent.

According to reports, both sides are amicable and it’s just a case of them not agreeing on the numbers. There’s still a chance he’ll be signed as he’s been an Impact Wrestling mainstay and top guy since his debut in 2017.
He previously worked for WWE NXT, CAW, and MLW and it’s rumored that he’ll be joining AEW.
Turning the page
There’s a reported interest in Sami from several companies, but AEW seems the surer bet among fans since he and Jon Moxley recently appeared at Wrestling Revolver as the Switchblades and fans are excited to see the duo together in the main stream.
This doesn’t mean AEW is a lock, but with Moxley being one of their top stars it would make sense, but Sami has plenty of options.
Since he runs Wrestling Revolver based in Iowa, it also operates in Texas, Ohio and other states it’d make sense for him to sign with a company that would give him the freedom to continue doing so, and AEW could do that as well as give him a good contract monetary wise.
The monster
PCO has a strong following wherever he’s wrestled and was a fan favorite in Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling, and it’s going to be disappointing to see him go but it’s the nature of the business.
His gimmick is a fun one and it’ll be interesting to see if he’ll sign with a major company like AEW and return to ROH or continue to work the Indies for a while.
There are a lot of possibilities despite being 55 years old. He’s still as mobile and nimble as many half his age, and he just has the x factor about him.
As much as we hate to see them both leave Impact Wrestling, we’re also excited to see where they go and what they do next.
We have no doubt they’ll continue to excel and that’ll be fun to see. In the end, wrestling is a business and they have to do what’s best for them and we wish them the best.
