At the end of NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day, Adam Cole shocked the world when he not only superkicked Finn Balor, but Kyle O’Reilly as well. They were well known rivals before coming to NXT, but after four years together in the Undisputed Era, this was a huge betrayal to say the least. It ended the relationship between UE & Finn Balor, but could have killed the faction in general. Kyle O’Reilly will open NXT, and all he wants is answers from Cole.
Kyle O’Reilly Just Wants Answers
He’d waste no time getting into it. We all know what happened, and he’s played it over and over again in his head trying to figure it out. He’s shocked, pissed off and disappointed. The Undisputed Era was supposed to be different, not like other factions.
Cole kicked O’Reilly in the face, but mostly just stabbed him in the back. He’s still Cole’s brother though, and really just needs an explanation. O’Reilly might punch Cole in the face afterwards, but he’s willing to hear him out.
Strong came out instead, and knew that Cole was acting on emotion, and tried to explain everything himself. But O’Reilly had no time for this, and wanted Cole himself out here. Strong wanted to enter the ring, but O’Reilly doesn’t trust anyone right now. He’d once again ask for Adam Cole, and instead get NXT Champion Finn Balor.
Finn Balor Arrives
Balor seemed offended that O’Reilly didn’t want to see him, and told him to get in line. He was also stupid for trusting O’Reilly on Sunday and taking his hand. Strong would come to the aid of O’Reilly, Balor accused him, but before any answers were given, out came Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch.
Balor, O’Reilly & Strong got beat down, with Dunne especially focused on the man that beat him Sunday. Cole would not show up, we’ve gotten no answers, but we know there are serious cracks in Undisputed Era. Tonight though in the main event, O’Reilly teams with Strong & Balor to face Dunne & Pals.
