At Impact Wrestling’s Sacrifice pay-per-view, The Good Brothers saw their dominate run as Impact Tag Team Champions come to an end when FinJuice (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) defeated them.
It marked a new era in professional wrestling as championships haven’t changed hands between different wrestling companies since the NWA and territory days ended.
While North American companies kept their championships in house, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and others allowed our wrestlers to hold championships in their country.
In fact, it was a regular occurrence outside of the WWE and Vince McMahon’s lockdown on anything not the WWE without his express permission.

AEW’s on notice
With NJPW’s FinJuice holding the Impact tag titles, it makes sense for the Good Brothers to look elsewhere for gold.
Of course, they have a rematch clause and they could win the Impact titles back as early as this Tuesday’s show (3/16), but assuming they don’t AEW is ripe for the picking.
Crossing over is the logical next step for The Good Brothers as Kenny Omega is already set to face Rich Swann at Impact Wrestling’s next pay-per-view Rebellion on April 24 in a title for title match.
It’s as much of a safe/guarantee that Omega will win both belts as on can get as every fan expects it, and it’d make sense that the Good Brothers will go after the Young Bucks and their titles.
It’d help balance the ledger, so to speak, and give the Bullet Club some much needed umph that feels like it’s bene missing the last month or so.
Since rejoining Omega, the Good Brothers looked like they lost their edge, but now that they’re not champions they’ll be more determined than ever to fix that.
So, that means we can expect them on some AEW Dynamite’s going forward as they begin feuding with the Young Bucks in what will be an interesting matchup in more ways than one.
New school versus old school
The Young Buck exemplify the new school of wrestling as much as Kenny Omega with high spot after high spot, while the Good Brothers maintain a mix of both.
Going a step further is Doc Gallows as he’s adopted the Undertaker’s American Badass fighting style with his hands up and working the midsection when an opponent’s in the corner.
At Sacrifice he even pulled his shirt down like the Undertaker used to do and closely resembled him.
While that could be coincidental, it feels like a homage since he was in the Undertaker’s final match.
We think we’ll see the Good Brothers morph some more, possibly going back to more old ways in the coming weeks setting up a confrontation the Young Bucks and FTR should’ve been.
Of course, getting his with Demolition and the Legion of Doom’s signature finishers at the hands of FinJuice could give them more reason to adopt an older, grittier and harder hitting style.
This will be a fun match if it happens, and when it does could the Good Brothers be the new AEW Tag Team Champions? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
