Matt Hardy has had a lot of different gimmicks. That ranges from Big Money Matt to Stronger than Death Matt. One of the best gimmicks in his career is considered to be Broken Matt Hardy that he made famous through the Indies and other promotions.
This then got changed to the Woken Matt Hardy in WWE but wasn’t given the respect. The Broken gimmick returned in a different form in AEW when he debuted, although the lack of fans hurt the progression of the character.
Matt Hardy then used all of the gimmicks in a new form which ended with his current gimmick Big Money Matt. In the recent episode of BTE, this may be changing.
How it went down in BTE
In BTE, we got the usual Matt Hardy that we have been seeing on BTE and Wednesday Night Dynamite. He was then speaking to the Private Party about why the Butcher, the Blade and the Bunny joined them.
This then went to Big Money Matt speaking to the Butcher, the Blade and the Bunny. After him talking to them in this form, it didn’t work.
He then changed his mind and tried speaking to them as Broken Matt Hardy. This worked and looks like how he communicates to the three of them. Could this be connected to how the story is going to evolve through the main Wednesday show?
Are we seeing Broken Matt with the return of fans?
Thinking about this new take on the gimmicks. It could work on the weekly show if they dive into the different gimmicks to speak to two sides of the group. It could work into the story of Matt Hardy’s new group.
At the moment, the faction hasn’t had much of a reason to be together. This could be a way to introduce multiple Matt Hardy gimmicks to run one faction.
