Daniel Bryan has looked back fondly on his defeat to Brock Lesnar in the Survivor Series 2018. Daniel, for his part, has not exactly made it a secret that he was after Brock for some time.

So when the time came, he embraced it with every bone in his body. In an interview with Talksport, Daniel revealed how he relished being the underdog. He said: “I was thrilled. But how I always envisioned it was babyface Daniel Bryan! Yes, man Daniel Bryan, underdog Daniel Bryan against the killer Brock Lesnar.”
And he had a lot of warm words to say on Brock. Inside the ring, Brock is as fierce as any other wrestler in the game. Just ask Big Show. Despite him being a juggernaut in his own right, he admitted to shi***ng his pants when he faced Brock. Not only that, he went a step further as he admitted to having diarrhoea when facing Brock in the ring. The latter, though, was due to food poisoning.
But it is not the hard-hitting style that impresses Daniel. It is the man behind the wrestler. And Daniel made sure that fans knew the stuff that they may not know about Brock: namely that he grew up on a farm in South Dakota. He added: “He just also loves farming, loves being at home and he’s not going to do it just because he likes doing it.
“He’s going to do it because ‘hey, you need to pay me to put my body on the line’ that sort of thing, right?” And he signed off the interview by stating how privileged he was to be one of the few wrestlers to have taken on Brock. The showdown did not disappoint as it has been remembered as one of the most action-packed bouts.
He continued: “That match is something that I’m really, really proud of, and it was a test for me. I don’t think there’s been anybody in the history of WWE who’s been more excited to take a German Suplex from Brock Lesnar than me.”
