WWE Raw Results returned as Adam Pearce was in the ring to officiate the contract signing and introduced Rhea Ripley first since she’s the challenger.
Once Ripley was seated and waiting, Pearce introduced Asuka.
With both women at the table, Ripley started it off by saying Pearce meant to say current Raw Women’s Champion.
Asuka laughed and said she’s the Raw Women’s Champions and Ripley is overconfident.
Ripley said she is, and she was confident enough to challenge her to a match at WrestleMania.
She added that now she’s confident to say she’s going to beat her at WrestleMania and take her championship.
Ripley signed and handed it over so Asuka could sign it. Asuka did, and told her her confidence is borrowed but not earned.
Ripley grabbed the table and smashed it into Asuka’s face, knocking her out.
Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax came out and jax said she doesn’t know what’s worse: Ripley challenging for a championship match or Asuka accepting.
Baszler said both are pretty good and Ripley is new while Asuka should’ve known better.
Not so surprising challenge
She demanded to know where their WrestleMania match was after they dominated the company for the last year, and said she can’t wait to give Ripley a dose of reality.
Ripley asked her what’s keeping her, but Jax called for peace and challenged them to a tag match next week.
Ripley accepted without a word from Asuka.
Backstage, Ricochet was approached by MVP and MVP said he’s happy to see him thinking like a businessman.
Ricochet said it’s not about Lashley’s offer since he think he and MVP are full of it, and this is about him taking an offered opportunity.
Drew McIntyre vs. Ricochet
It’s been a while since we got to see Ricochet in a meaningful match and we can’t wait to see these two give us a fun showing.
McIntyre went for a lockup but Ricochet came out swinging and landed some blows before McIntyre threw him into a corner.
Ricochet hit with a boot, then ducked a clothesline as he hit the ropes before McIntyre hit a huge backdrop.
McIntyre chopped him in a corner, then threw him across the ring with a belly to belly suplex.
McIntyre hit a right and then flipped Ricochet across the ring with another belly to belly suplex, but Ricochet landed on his feet.
Ricochet sidestepped McIntyre’s charge and hit a leg scissors to send McIntyre into a corner and then hit a knee lift.
Ricochet then hit a kick off the top rope for a pin attempt.
Ricochet sidestepped McIntyre’s charge and sent him to the floor but McIntyre dragged him out by the ankles and nailed him with a forearm and tried to throw him into the ring steps.
Ricochet leaped over the ring steps and landed on the barricade and hit a missile dropkick.
After rolling McIntyre into the ring, Ricochet went for a 630 but rolled through it and McIntyre hit a Claymore.
After the match, Mustafa Ali took McIntyre down with a chop block and stomped away as the official tried to back him away.
He hit a kick and hammered on McIntyre before McIntyre threw him to the floor and then challenged Ali to fight him as WWE Raw Results headed to commercial.
