The road to WrestleMania is slowly nearing its final stop, but before we get to the biggest show of the year there is the small deal of the Fastlane PPV, which will be taking place a week on Sunday.
A number of matches for the event have already been announced, but could we see more matches announced this evening on SmackDown? Also, what else is set to happen on the Friday night show?
WWE SmackDown: Bryan And Reigns Meet Face To Face
It has already been announced that the contract signing for the Universal Championship match that will take place at Fastlane will take place on SmackDown this evening. That means that Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns will come face to face once again, just a week after Bryan and Reigns got physical following a match between the leader of the Yes Movement and Jey Uso.
It’s likely that Reigns will have another plan up his sleeve this week, as he looks to gain the upper-hand before the big championship showdown at Fastlane.
WWE SmackDown: Bianca Belair And Sasha Backs On The KO Show
It seems a while ago since Kevin Owens was in the title picture, but he will be engaged in the title picture in the women’s division in some degree tonight. He will be hosting the KO Show, and will welcome Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks. There are a number of different routes that this segment could travel down, with Reginald now apparently a free agent after being fired by Carmella last week.
As well as that, Belair and Banks are gearing up for a shot at the tag team titles at Fastlane, and there is the small matter of their championship match at Mania fast approaching. Tonight could be the night where the two talented superstars finally start looking ahead to their singles match.
WWE SmackDown: Two Matches Announced For Fastlane
The card for Fastlane looks a bit bare at the minute, which means that we could see a number of matches announced tonight. Big E is set to return, which could lead to an immediate confrontation with Apollo Crews, who is now a heel for the first time in his WWE career. Another match between the two could be just what both superstars need.
Cesaro and Seth Rollins could also be set to take their rivalry to the next level with a match, and that could be announced tonight. However, we were kind of hoping that we would see more back and forth, before a match at WrestleMania was the big pay off for both stars.
