WWE Smackdown Results returned as Adam Pearce headed to the ring and Roman Reigns came out as he reached the ring with Jey Uso and Paul Heyman flanking him.
After a brief pause, Edge came out as well. He’s nailing his heel turn and we’re loving it.
Edge and Reigns stood apart with Pearce between then and Edge pacing.
Daniel Bryan came out next and Pearce thanked them for joining.
He said it makes sense why there shouldn’t be a title defense this close to WrestleMania, and how it also makes sense they don’t want to have a championship match one night and defend it the next.
He added that what Bryan says makes sense and he’s right about there being a double standard and that he deserves another opportunity at the Universal Championship.
Pearce announced his decision is the Universal Championship with be a triple threat match to a chorus of piped in Yes! chants.
Edge loses it
Reigns started to say something to Pearce when Edge and Bryan ran at each other and Bryan beat him back into a corner.
Edge shoved him back and Bryan hit a dropkick.
Reigns then hit Bryan with a Superman Punch and then pounded on Bryan.
Jey grabbed a chair and tossed it to Reigns, but Edge hit Reigns with a spear, ducked a chair shot, and hit another spear.
Edge then beat Reigns and Bryan with the chair, alternating between the two of them.

Edge then put both their heads on the steel chairs and grabbed another and beat down Jey when he intervened so Reigns could escape.
Bryan pulled himself to the ring apron when Edge grabbed him by the feet and pulled him in. Edge then hit an elbow, then knocked out officials with a chair when they came out to stop him but they pulled Bryan out
Edge took a seat in the middle of the ring looking as incensed as we’ve ever seen him.
Despite the predictable triple threat announcement, it’s the right thing to do to give us the best match possible, especially given Bryan’s push recently.
We’re picking Bryan to win over Edge to keep Reigns strong, but they could change over the next couple of weeks.
This was a fun segment to see Edge go full heel, and we enjoyed the episode overall. What do you think of Pearce’s decision?
