WWE Smackdown Results returned as Daniel Bryan headed to the ring and was impressed with the night so far and pushed the main event between Edge and Jey Uso and how the winner will be the special enforcer for his match against Reigns.
He said if Jey wins we know he’ll do everything in his power to help Reigns win, and if Reigns is the champion he thinks he is he wouldn’t need the help.
He pointed out that Edge is the ultimate opportunist and what he wants more than anything is to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
He said that Edge is afraid of him and thinks he can beat Reigns, while Bryan knows he can beat Reigns and promised to make Reigns tap out.
Reigns’ music started and he came out with Paul Heyman at his side but no Jey Uso.
Heyman handed Reigns a mic and Reigns laughed at Bryan’s promise to make him tap out.
He said he can deal with Bryan telling lies about being ambitious and deserving to be in WrestleMania, but not lying about tapping him out.
He said Bryan has a better chance of shooting lightning out his backside than tapping him out, and added that no one has ever tapped him out.
He added he’s rather lose his arm or die in that ring to tap out to somebody like Bryan.
Bryan said him rather dying than tap out was a little strong, and challenged him on caring about lies as Reigns’ entire claim to be the head of the table are that; they’re just delusions.
He said everyone thinks they’re unbeatable until they lose; everybody thinks they’re untap outable until they tap out. He promised to break Reigns and his delusions.
He added he hopes he doesn’t die, but he’s going to beat Reigns for the Universal Championship at WWE Fastlane.
Reigns headed to the back while Bryan celebrated his brief win.
King Corbin vs. Sami Zayn
Zayn caught Corbin with a kick and a headlock, but Corbin slammed him down but Zayn made it to the ropes when Corbin tried to grab him.
Zayn then dragged Corbin’s face across the ropes and choked him out on the middle rope as Kevin Owens told the announcers he’s never seen Zayn like this before.
Zayn hit a couple of rights and whipped Corbin into the ropes, and Corbin hit a clothesline and hammered on Zayn before hitting a splash in the corner.
Zayn hid behind the referee before poking Corbin in the eyes. He then sidestepped Corbin’s charge and Corbin hit his shoulder on the ring posts when he missed his shoulder.
Zayn rolled him up and tried to put his feet on the ropes but the referee caught it.
Zayn then removed a turnbuckle corer, and while he argued with the referee, Corbin grabbed him and hit an End of Days for the win.
When asked if he saw anything suspicious to prove Zayn’s accusations, and he said he only saw great officiating.
Zayn threw a fit with the referee and he asked Owens and Owens told him the referee made the right calls.
Zayn couldn’t believe what he was saying and shouted at Owens, claimed he’s not seeing things.
Zayn blindsided Owens with a Helluva Kick and he screamed that Owens was blind and he’s not crazy and that he thought Owens was smarter than that.
He shouted that if Owens doesn’t want to see the truth, that’s his problem.
Well, we were wondering what was next for Sami Zayn and now it looks like he’s going to have another feud on his hands, and this one is with his best friend.
