Last week, Imperium wiped the ring clean using the bodies of Ever-Rise in a show of dominance. After the match, Drake Maverick & Killian Dain came to ringside, but they were far from on the same page. Maverick got thrown up the stage, and Dain followed him as he retreated. This week, they look to get on the same page as they face Fabian Aichner & Marcel Bartel in tag team action.
Imperium Starts Strong, Isolates Drake Maverick
Dain & Aichner would start the match, and Dain used the power edge to send Aichner aside. He’d nail a crossbody block on Aicher, before lifting him up. Bartel got a tag, before being driven over the top rope with a lariat. When he got back into the ring, Dain would slam him down.
Maverick was tagged in with a chop, before being launched over the top rope for a senton. Dain’s treatment of Maverick was pissing him off, and that would have him distracted against Imperium. Bartel & Aicher took advantage of this, and would use the number edge to trap him into the corner. Dain would come to Mavericks aid, and we’d go to a commercial break as they tried to get back on the same page.
Back from the break, Bartel would still be in control of Maverick. Imperium kept him isolated with quick strikes and smart grappling. Maverick almost got free with a drop toe-hold, but Aichner got a tag and took Dain off the apron.
Alexander Wolfe & Killian Dain Still Have History
Another flurry from Maverick almost got a tag, before he was slammed down into the mat. One last attempt was dashed, as Dain was yanked off the apron seconds before a tag. Maverick turned to see Dain gone, and took a boot to the back of the head.
Dain would blast into the ring with clubbing lariats, but wasn’t legal so was sent outside where Bartel hit a big boot, and Wolfe considered hitting him with a chair. He’d hesitate due to their Sanity past, and Maverick took advantage to make the save. Dain press slammed Maverick onto Aichner, before Dain was taken down on the outside.
Back in the ring, Aicher countered a crossbody into a powerbomb position, before hitting European Bomb with Bartel for the win. Will Drake Maverick & Killian Dain survive yet another loss? What’s going on between Wolfe & Dain? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
