In the preshow for night one of NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver, Zoey Stark upset the veteran and former NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm. However, Storm see’s it differently. At Takeover, she put Zoey Stark on the mat, and is now responsible for being a star because of Toni Storm. Tonight, she has another rookie opponent in Zayda Ramier, but Storm just see’s Zoey Stark. Every slam, punch and kick that Ramier takes will be harder, because Storm has a lot of issues to work out in the ring tonight.
Zoey Stark Distracts Toni Storm, Zayda Ramier Takes Full Advantage
Taking out her anger, Ramier would be thrown around the ring by Toni Storm. She wouldn’t get a chance to even get started. Storm nailed a big lariat and bigger backbreaker, bending Ramier over her knee and pushing down.
Ramier was sent into the corner, but managed to get a kick on Storm before some forearm strikes. Storm dodged a spin kick and hit a German Suplex, before crushing her with a back elbow and hip attack. There was no wasted motions from Storm, until she let go of the Storm Zero.
Instead of finishing the match, she put Ramier on the top rope for a super Storm Zero. Zoey Stark came to ringside to pick up her issue with Storm, and this distraction saw Stark take Storm down with some forearm shots. Ramier hit a beautiful Shooting Star Press, and that was it! Storm was beaten by the so called rookie, and we know this won’t help her issues.
However, this was another example of Storm losing a match and making a star in the process. If you didn’t know Zayda Ramier before this match, you likely know her now. How will Toni Storm deal with these repeated losses? Could Ramier become a star in WWE? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
