Ever since being pulled into the feud between Piper Niven & Jinny, Jack Starz has been working hard to prove that he belongs on NXT UK. At one point, Starz was basically the welcome mat to the brand, that first opponent that everyone walked over to introduce themselves.
However, Niven has been working with Starz at the WWE NXT UK Performance Center to get him to be the best that he can be. After weeks of hard work, we see the new Jack Starz in action tonight as he faces Ashton Smith. Niven would accompany Starz to the ring for this match, ready to see the results of their training come together.
Jack Starz Gets The Biggest Win Of His NXT UK Career
She wants his intensity to come out in the ring, but as this match started he was tossed aside when he went for a single leg takedown before being thrown aside. Starz would go for the ankle again and was able to trip Smith up, and look for an ankle lock. Smith would shove him off and run Starz over with a shoulder tackle. Starz would be locked in an armbar, but got free with some dropkicks before being launched with a fireman’s carry right into another armbar.
Maintaining control of the arm, Smith lifted Starz up and hit another shoulder tackle. A running knee lift would stun Starz, and a vicious lariat would drop him for a two count. Starz would be nailed with a clubbing blow to the back of the neck, as Smith just rained down heavy blows to stay in control. A press slam dropped Starz, before he’d fight back to his feet and get an elbow in the corner before a crossbody.
Smith caught him and looked for a suplex, before just deciding to throw him over to the top rope. Niven gave him some encouragement, before he went back into the ring for some quick uppercuts. Starz struck back and hit a back body drop, before blocking a Blue Thunder Bomb attempt into a deep roll up for the win!
