Since coming to NXT UK, Teoman has been looking impressive. His fast paced and precise style has gotten him a few wins now, but tonight he faces someone else new to NXT UK in Rohan Raja. Raja previously worked for Impact Wrestling as one half of the Desi-Hit Squad, but is looking to reinvent himself into a star with NXT UK. He’s 6’1, UK born, Australian raised, and Canadian trained, andnocking off Teoman in the middle of a hot streak is certainly a good way to prove his skills.
Rohan Raja Shows Some Guts
Raja and Teoman would lock up to start the match, with Raja getting the first take down. Teoman went for the ropes to break the hold, before getting a cheap shot on Raja. A wrist lock would be applied, but Raja broke free. Showing the technical skills of someone trained by Lance Storm, he’d get a slick crucifix pin for a two count before hitting a jumping neckbreaker.
A recipt for the slap earlier would come to the face of Teoman, before Raja asked for some respect. Teoman took him down and rained down some quick strikes, before a hard kick to the spine. Raja would be picked back up for a forearm smash, before being taken into the corner for another.
A hard irish whip into the corner was followed by a charge from Teoman, which was dodged by Raja who came off the the ropes for a crossbody. Teoman would stop this flurry before it could really get moving with a shot to the stomach before a sliding elbow strike to the side of the head.
Teoman Will Do Anything to Win
Raja would have his neck cranked before breaking free and going after Teoman with a lariat and a dropkick. A sitout spinebuster would follow, getting Raja a two count, the closest someone has come to beating Teoman in NXT UK.
Raja would look to set up something with a ripcord, but Teoman came in with a basement dropkick. Teoman went to the top rope and nailed the diving DDT, before applying the crossface hold. Raja would almost reach the ropes, but Teoman rolled back to the middle of the ring when he got close.
Teoman wouldn’t get the submission, but he yanked back hard on the hold and you could hear the arm of Raja snap. The referee called for a stoppage, and Teoman got another win. Teoman would ask if Raja is stupid, with him not tapping out, before heading to the back.
