I’m your host, CP Bialois, and this is going to be a fun episode with the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and more in this special WrestleMania edition of Smackdown (WrestleMania Night 0).
WWE Smackdown Live Results are going to get ready in style with some popcorn before settling in an buckling up for the 8 p.m. EST showtime.
Segment 1
Daniel Bryan gave one of his bets promos ever about how he’s learned to say Yes! it can be done when everyone else says no.
Segment 2
Smackdown Tag Team Championship – Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode) (c) vs. Rey and Dominik Mysterio vs. Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford) vs. Alpha Academy (Chad Gable, Otiz)
This was in action when we returned from commercial, and the Mysterios took over after sending the Alpha Academy to the floor and hitting a pair of dives as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
This was an awesome match that saw Roode and Ziggler retain after everyone was spent and Ziggler took out Ford with a superkick and Roode scored the pin on Gable.
Segment 4
Big E showed us some of his old stomping grounds as he cut a intense and awesome promo for his Intercontinental Championship defense against Apollo Crews.
Segment 5
Nia Jax w/Shayna Baszler and Reginald vs. Tamina w/Natalya
This was a good match and Tamina had it won after a Samoan Drop but Baszler broke up the pin and got Jax disqualified before they fled.
Segment 6
Edge cut a scathing promo about how he’s going to take back his destiny despite Bryan using sympathy to get into the Universal Championship match.
Segment 7
Sasha Banks cut a promo about being the B-E-S-T in the WWE.
Segment 8
They shows Sami Zayn interrupting Logan Paul’s workout and then getting kicked out. When Zayn started clamoring at the announce desk, Owens attacked and chased him off.
Segment 9
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander eliminated Akira Tozawa and Tucker before the rest turned on them and tossed them out as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
T-Bar and Mace made a couple of impressive eliminations before Ali eliminated them, and Lucha house Party turned on each other before Corbin finished it by tossing Metalik out as we headed to commercial.
Segment 11
Jey Uso won by eliminating Shinsuke Nakamura.
Segment 12
Roman Reigns came out with Paul Heyman and closed the show with another impressive promo where he called Bryan and Edge dreamers and after he wins at WrestleMania the whole world will acknowledge him.
This was a fun WrestleMania pre-pre show or WrestleMania Night 0. We had some good matches and things are set for the Grandest Stage of them All.
