Kenny Omega has built up an army of friends in AEW with The Good Brothers, The Young Bucks, Michael Nakazawa and Don Callis. However, that also came at the cost of making two insanely dangerous enemies in Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley. The Elite tried to break the ankles of Kingston, but failed to keep him down. Now, after Omega nearly suffered the same fate, he’s now forced into what might boil down into a handicap match as he teams with Nakazawa to take on Kingston & Moxley.

Kenny Omega Attacks From Behind To Start A Brawl Of A Match

Don Callis would note that Kenny Omega was unable to make it to the show, despite that people saw him backstage. Therefore Nakazawa would wrestle this match alone. Seems like a great idea, and he’d be terrified as Kingston & Moxley made their way to the ring. Then, Omega blindsided Moxley & Kingston with the AEW World Championship.

Nakazawa & Omega would start this match with Kingston alone, taking terms clubbing away at Kingston and going for a double suplex before Moxley made the save. Moxley hit a swinging side slam to send Moxley to the outside, before hitting a dive onto both Omega & Nakazawa. Kingston & Moxley won a brawl at ringside, before working on Nakazawa in the ring.

Moxley was beating up Omega by the ropes, and Nakazawa behind the back of the official hit a deep low blow on Kingston. Omega rubbed the eyes of Kingston across the ropes, before hitting Kotoro Crusher in the middle of the ring. Kingston blocked a brainbuster attempt, before falling to the rolling fireman carry. He’d dodge the moonsault and hit a running lariat to get some space.

Moxley & Nakazawa tagged in, and Moxley would drop him with a German Suplex and piledriver, but Omega broke the pinfall up. Kingston kept Omega out of the ring, and Moxley held a chokehold on Nakazawa before Omega abandoned the match. A half & half suplex from Kingston and a lariat from Moxley ended this match.

This one was never going to try to be an excellent match, more just a way to keep storylines moving. Nakazawa didn’t do much besides hit low blows and chokes, while Omega stuck to hitting just his big moves, as did Moxley & Kingston. Just a basic opening tag team match, . Match Rating: 2.75/5 (** 3/4 )

After the match, The Young Bucks came to the ramp to distract Kingston & Moxley, before The Good Brothers hit from behind. The Elite would leave Moxley & Kingston laying, to allow Omega to hit the One Winged Angel on Kingston. Who will face Moxley & Kingston at Double or Nothing?
