Kenny Omega currently has the AEW championship belt, AAA championship belt and the Impact championship Wrestling belt. It seems like the end could be coming close for Kenny Omega’s reign. Suppose we Looking at his upcoming opponents for all belts.
In AEW, he’ll be going up against both PAC and Orange Cassidy. While in Impact, he’ll go up against Moose. Then finally, there’s the most surprising titled defence against Andrade.
TNT
One of the most obvious belts that Kenny Omega should win is the TNT belt. It would make a lot of sense that he would go after the TNT belt at some point shortly. However, this should be near the end of the belt collecting gimmick when he starts losing them due to being overworked. As it could become very dull seeing Kenny Omega in both championships in AEW.
NJPW
Then we go over to the NJPW championship. Where Kenny Omega started his incredible career as being known as one of the best in the world. Since the start of AEW, Kenny Omega hasn’t appeared in NJPW.
However, both Jon Moxley and Jericho have appeared in NJPW since joining the company making it seem possible for him to return in the future. Know that NJPW is realistically struggling with the Impact of the pandemic and Will Ospreay having to vacate the top belt in the company with the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion belt.
A return of one of the biggest Stars to ever wrestle in NJPW and win the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion belt could be incredibly beneficial to NJPW and Kenny Omega’s story arc.
ROH
ROH is rumoured to be another company that will be part of the crossover between both Impact and ROH. There has been no mention of both ROH and AEW breaking down that forbidden door. It may be since The Elite might not have left ROH on amazing terms.
Kenny Omega was the only one out of the Elite that definitely didn’t hurt ROH in the birth of AEW.
All this makes it possible for Kenny Omega to appear on ROH and take a title from there at some point. Kenny Omega has now considered ratings draw, and if he appeared in ROH, it would create some buzz that ROH has lost over the years.
NWA
NWA is still considered by many on the rise. However, time away due to the pandemic has seemingly hurt the company. It has now returned, and it still has Nick Aldis as the champion. Nick Aldis has now been champion since October 21, 2018.
While also introducing some AEW wrestlers that could fit into NWA greatly like Lance Archer, Miro and Jungle Boy. Kenny Omega could be the bridge to start that.
Indies
Kenny Omega could appear on some indie shows, winning some of the belts around the world. There are currently champions in AEW that own championship from indie companies like Sammy Guevara, So nothing stops Kenny Omega from doing that in the near future.
