After weeks of vignettes where he has been one step ahead of Cameron Grimes, this week sees a proper NXT debut for a WWE Hall of Famer. The Million Dollar Man himself, Ted DiBiase is set to be on this week’s coming episode of WWE NXT, where he will confront Cameron Grimes once again. What could DiBiase have planned for this appearance?
Could Ted DiBiase Be Debuting A Protege?
While normally someone showing up in NXT would mean they’re here to wrestle, it’s unlikely the 67 year old Ted DiBiase will show up with his working boots on. If he’s getting back into the wrestling industry, it would likely be as a manager once again, as he looks to find someone to continue his legacy and take Cameron Grimes down. This would have been his son, Ted DiBiase Jr. but the passion for professional wrestling simply wasn’t there.
There are a lot of folks who have been showing up around NXT as of late who could use the help of a legendary manager. Asher Hale (fka Anthony Henry) stood out in his match with Cameron Grimes, and could be a good fit for Ted DiBiase to manage. You could even look back to pre-pandemic NXT with someone like Kona Reeves, who was trying to find his gimmick on the brand.
Could Cameron Grimes Be That Protege?
But what if instead of coming to NXT to take Grimes down, Ted DiBiase instead wants to just help Grimes become the next Million Dollar Man? While in the mind of Cameron Grimes, DiBiase has been looking to ruin him, he’s always been trying to teach Grimes lessons in his own way.
Grimes is very new to being rich, only making his money off the recent GameStop stock fiasco and now DogeCoin, while Ted DiBiase has been the Million Dollar Man since before Grimes was even born. This could all be leading to Grimes being taught by the best to ever play this game, and elevating him closer to the top of NXT.
Do you think a partnership of Ted DiBiase & Cameron Grimes could make Grimes into a main event talent on NXT? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
