    WWE Raw Results (5/31) – Randy Orton w/ Riddle Defeated Xavier Woods by Pinfall Via a Bro-Derek; Nikki Cross Outlasted Charlotte Flair in a 2 Minute Challenge

    Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Results!

    Tonight looks like it’s going to be an interesting one if they avoid the copy and paste they’ve been using the last couple of weeks.

    Let’s get to the action!

    Miz TV

    The show opened with a Memorial Day quote by Ronald Reagan: “They didn’t volunteer to die, they volunteered to defend values… which make up what we call civilization” and this was followed by a video tribute.

    The Miz and John Morrison welcomed us to Miz TV, which also marked the Miz’s first appearance back following his injury at Backlash.

    Miz apologized and explained that he was injured in the lumberjack match for the first time in his career, and Morrison had garlic around his neck to protect them. He also has his drip stick.

    He said he had to come back to support his guests, and introduced Charlotte Flair.

    Charlotte wasted no time in asking what that smell was, and then went into how Rhea Ripley already had her fairy tale story.

    It was Rhea Ripley’s turn to come out and join the fun. Ripley told Morrison that she’s not a vampire, she’s a nightmare.

    Flair and Miz reminded Ripley losing to Nikki Cross last week, and a replay of her timed loss was shown.

    Nikki Cross then came out because she earned the right to challenge the winner of Ripley and Flair’s HIAC match for the Raw Women’s Championship.

    Flair and Ripley told her life isn’t fair and Ripley admitted she earned her respect. So Nikki asked if she beats Flair in 2 minutes can she challenge the winner.

    Flair said she can beat Nikki in 1 minute, so we guess that’s next?

    Two Minute Challenge – Nikki Cross vs. Charlotte Flair

    If Nikki wins, she gets to challenge the winner of Flair and Ripley’s HIAC match.

    Nikki slipped out of the ring and taunted Flair, then slid into the ring when Flair came after her. Nikki ducked out again, and slipped out a third time.

    Flair came out after her and Nikki stepped behind Ripley.

    In the ring, Flair finally caught her with a knee and a clothesline. Nikki countered Flair in the corner with a tornado DDT, then fought off Flair as time ran out while Ripley applauded.

    Flair kept telling Ripley this is her fault.

    Backstage, Riddle quizzed Damian Priest about how to speak Spanish when Randy Orton came up to him. He said Riddle impressed him last week and invited Riddle to come down to watch his match later tonight.

    Orton convinced him to lock his lips, then threw away the key, which Riddle then looked for on the floor. These two are awesome together.

    Randy Orton w/Riddle vs. Xavier Woods

    This should be a great match, assuming we don’t have any interference or other things happen.

    Orton hit a shoulder block and went for an RKO off the bat, but Woods shoved him off and locked in an armbar.

    Orton took control and slammed Woods into the announce desk several times before he suplexed him onto the desk as we headed to commercial.

    Back from commercial, they’re back in the ring with Orton still in control with a rear chin lock.

    Woods got loose with an armbreaker and a step up kick, and then hit a rolling elbow and face plant for a pin attempt.

    Orton hit a powerbomb out of the corner for a near pinfall, then went for a draping DDT but Woods reversed hit and hit an armbreaker and locked in a fujiwara armbar.

    Orton made it to the ropes to break the hold, then hit a draping DDT as he readied for an RKO that Woods countered into a backslide pin attempt.

    Orton then hit a Bro-Derek for the pin and win. The move was a shock for WWE Raw Results, but we’re good with it. This was a fun match.
