Andrade El Idolo was unable to make his great announcement last week, but Matt Sydal would interrupt him. This was such a slap in the face of Andrade, who can’t even remember the last name of Sydal, calling him Matt Something. However, next week in the Miami: City of Heat, he wants to face Sydal at Road Rager. This match would be confirmed, and will mark the in-ring debut of Andrade in AEW. Another man who Andrade is going to face soon, but just down in Mexico for the AAA Mega Championship is Kenny Omega.
Kenny Omega Demands Some Time Off
Last Saturday, Kenny Omega retained the AEW World Championship when he defeated Jungle Boy in a fantastic match. Omega was looking like Ole Anderson with some new facial hair, and this morning he woke up feeling like a king. This is because he’s beaten the toughest, greatest high flyer, biggest merch seller, best technical wrestler (atleast those not called Kenny Omega), and the top prospect. He’s beaten everyone worthy in AEW, and because of that he wants to take some time off from AEW.
Evil Uno & The Dark Order would come to ringside, and dispute that he has no challengers. You see, Evil Uno thinks differently. Omega would call out Five in particular saying he wouldn’t last two minutes with him, despite Angels lasting ten a year ago. None of them are ranked high enough to challenge him, which is true. But a close personal friend of theirs is #1 ranked.
Will Hangman Page Answer The Call?
The crowd already knew and started “Cowboy Shit” chants, but Omega knows something. Omega knows that Hangman wouldn’t appreciate being spoken for, and doesn’t think have the guts. He doesn’t have the guts to even think of himself as AEW World Champion. Omega would say goodbye and goodnight, and hit his music.
Hangman Page wouldn’t show up tonight, despite Dark Order helping set the scene. Last time he faced his old tag team partner was the finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator tournament, where Page gave up on the shoulders of Omega and let the One Winged Angel take him down. That is a loss Page is still trying to recover from, and maybe he’s not ready just yet.
