There’s been plenty of speculation about where Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad) will sign and Andrade El Idolo recently added fuel to the fire, and we think her appearing on AEW is a definite possibility.
Possibly even this week.
This new speculation came curtesy of Andrade’s recent interview with Jim Ross and said that he and his manager, Vicki Guerrero, have a surprise.

The surprise
Okay, this may not be a surprise if you read the article title, but there’s a lot of fan chatter and rumors flying around that Zelina Vega will appear on AEW Dynamite and it makes sense given her history with Andrade.
After she was released in November after the WWE demanded control and monetization of their talent’s third party platforms, and he tweeting her support for wrestlers unionizing, she remained under the radar.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter did say she signed a short term deal with a company, but nothing more has come out concerning it, so it could be with AEW.
The Wrestling Observer also said it’s a deal that prevents her from working with another wrestling promotion.
That could mean she resigned with the WWE and she was spotted at the Performance Center a couple of months back, but her deal could be done.
Since her husband, Aleister Black (Tommy End), was released, she may have worked out something to leave as well.
So many possibilities
While this is all speculation, there’s no denying how much she could add to AEW women’s division and to Andrade’s run as his co-manager with Vicki Guerrero.
And assuming her husband comes to AEW, it’ll give them a sizable influx of talent to continue building around.
It’d a shot at a second chance for Vega and Andrade to show how awesome they can be, like when they were in NXT.
As is the case with many talented performers in the WWE, they’re awesome in NXT and fizzle out when moving to the main brand for mishandling, not fitting in, or whatever reason there is.
And now, they could rekindle that NXT magic in AEW.
