We have had another Tuesday night of NXT, and with it comes the reveal of who the Diamond Mine is. It was revealed in NXT that Diamond Mine is a faction made up of Rodrick Strong, Tyler Rust, Malcolm Bivens and Hideki Suzuki.
The faction does look like it could work out very differently from the Undisputed Era, but it’s hard not to compare both of them with former stablemate Rodrick Strong looking like the leader.
They should stay away from former Undisputed Era members
There was no clear sign of Diamond Mine going after both Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly
at the beginning of its run but the fact, they debuted very close to the end of the match between Kyle O’Reilly and Kushida. It kind of hints at the feud. At the moment, it could be terrible for the growth of Diamond Mine.
It does feel like they should stay away from both of them for a while, maybe after the next PPV. To cement Diamond Mine as something completely different as it’s possible to compare both factions easily.
What could Diamond Mine do to set themselves apart?
NXT does seem to be growing their factions now. It most likely led to some faction warfare. We will be going into that in more detail again.
However, it looks like Diamond Mine should go after the faction that doesn’t have much to lose. This sadly being The Way that members consist of Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Austin Theory and Indi Hartwell, With both Johnny and Candice being the leader’s of the faction.
It makes them a faction that doesn’t have much to lose, as he can lose and be quickly built up in the future is another story. It’s also likely that Indi and Candice won’t be involved.
But Candice LeRae has been in some great intergender matches in the past. There’s nothing stopping that from happening again in a feud with Diamond Mine. After this, they have made themselves dominant and then should go after a championship.
