After last week’s historic Hell in a Cell match where Roman Reigns successfully defended the Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio, he’s going to hold a victory celebration tonight.
There’s no doubt they’ll continue to work on Jimmy and Jey Uso coming together now that Jimmy has pledged his allegiance to Reigns.
And while they may draw Jey back, we have a feeling something more will be going on and it’s John Cena appearing.
This goes beyond the rumors of John Cena challenging Reigns for the Universal title at SummerSlam, though this would be a great place to start.
Today is the anniversary of John Cena’s WWE debut on a Smackdown taping that aired on June 27.
It’d be a great way to bring him back for a special moment and get some story telling in while they’re at it.
Of course, the more likely way they’ll go is to have Domink come out to try to avenge Rey and set up a handicap match between the Mysterios and Reigns at MITB.
Cesaro and Bianca Belair face Seth Rollins and Bayley
We were wondering what was next for Cesaro, and it looks like some more 50/50 booking against Seth Rollins.
After Rollins defeated Cesaro at HIAC to prove himself the better wrester, it looks like their feud is going to continue with a fun catch — Bianca Belair and Bayley are going to join in a more active role.
We’ve seen the four interact before in various crossovers, commentaries, and such, and this will be the first time they’re all in the same match.
Multi-gender matches are usually pretty good, but also predictable. This will probably follow along the usual path and we expect it to be a fun match that Cesaro and Belair will win by DQ.
WWE Smackdown Preview expects Cesaro to get the upper hand and Rollins to lose his cool, and it’ll resort in a disqualification win for Cesaro and him still looking to prove himself better than Rollins.
As for Bayley and Belair, we expect them to be on par with their partners and they’ll make it a fun one, with Bayley probably tying Belair to the ropes by her hair or even cutting it off.
Now that will get fans’ attention.
