At the core of the rivalry between The Inner Circle & The Pinnacle, there are the two leaders with massive egos. Chris Jericho is one of the most iconic professional wrestlers of all time, and has forgotten more about the business than someone like MJF has learned. Despite this, MJF feels that he’s already the equal of Jericho, and has been proving that he’s very close. We will see them clash again soon, but tonight they meet face to face.
MJF Almost Cracks Under The Insults From Chris Jericho
Before they could get started, a fan rushed the ring and was shown why this was a bad idea. MJF would tell Jericho once again that he needs to accept the stipulations he gives if he wants the match. Jericho would say he’d do anything, be it sleep with MJF’s mother again, get run over by a truck or swim through piranha infested waters.
MJF would almost crack up, but composed himself. He’d say that he has followed the career of Jericho well, and one of his favorite bits was the feud with Moxley. Moxley was forced to fight all of the members of The Inner Circle. Now MJF wants to do that, but better.
The Labours Of Jericho
Jericho will have to win four matches in a row, facing hand picked opponents from MJF, each with different stipulations. MJF compared it to the trials of Hercules, and if he can get through those matches and win? He gets MJF one on one then, and only then.
Jericho would agree with these terms, and said that if he can’t last the Labours Of Jericho, maybe he doesn’t belong in AEW at this point. He’d sign the contract, but MJF had one hidden condition, a simple handshake. Jericho would begrudgingly accept, before pulling him into the Judas Effect to close this one out with MJF down and out.
