2021 has been one of the most bizarre years in WWE history, which seems hard to say after the mess that was 2020. However this year alone has seen a large chunk of the WWE roster cut, including former world champions in Braun Strowman & Bray Wyatt, top prospects in Aleister Black & Buddy Murphy, and even let Daniel Bryan slip through their fingers. However, with the release of Bray Wyatt, Strowman is already looking to get the family back together.
Braun Strowman Wants A Family Reunion
For those who don’t know their history, Bray Wyatt & Braun Strowman were together for a few years in WWE as The Wyatt Family. Strowman broke off as a singles star to solid success, and would clash with Wyatt in 2020 over the WWE Universal Championship in a feud that was incredibly odd to say the least. They remain close friends, and soon they could be back together outside of WWE.
Taking to Instagram following the release of Wyatt, Strowman had an interesting message, to say the least. “And shepherds we shall be. For thee, my lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out they command. So we shall flow a river forth to thee. And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Fili, et Spritus Sancti. #FamilyReunion”
The bulk of this is a quote from The Boondook Saints, it’s not actually from any biblical script, but was inspired by the bible. It was written by Boondook Saints director, Troy Duffy.
This Could Be A Solid Act In Any Promotion
This would be a solid way to get both Wyatt & Strowman back into the mix. Another former Wyatt Family member is also a free agent, that being Erick Redbeard (formerly Erick Rowan). Some possible destinations include Impact Wrestling, which would really let the creative mind of Wyatt go wild, AEW which would put them in the mix on national TV, or even NJPW where they would truly stand out as an act.
