‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off a new week with some fun spoilery goodies, and it looks like some more interesting times will hit Genoa City.
This looks like another character building episode as they work toward their weekly culmination, and some interesting plot twists could be coming.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 2: Phyllis plots her next move
With more of a focused plan and evidence in hand, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will turn most of her attention to tormenting and cracking Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).

She’ll still give Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) some attention, too, but we think Tara’s going to wish she never walked into Genoa City.
But to get to Tara she’ll need to know what Sally did, so she’s going to pay Eric Forrester (John McCook) a visit.
This will set Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) off again, but at this point he doesn’t know who to be angry with so he’ll snap at anyone he disagrees with at the moment.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 2: Sally takes precautions
Sally’s going to be looking to cover her tracks so she can spin things in her favor when Tara flips and tries to say it’s all her idea.
She’s been to the dance enough times to know when to cut her losses and implement damage control, and since Phyllis ruined her chances with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) again, she’s going to make sure that’s the end of that threat.
We think she’s going to set it up where she set the job up for Summer Newman (Hunter King) to protect her after hearing Tara’s rants and threats.
It won’t be much, but it’ll put her in a better light than it being her idea to do what they did.
Will it work? Not like she’ll hope but we think she’ll avoid most of the fallout and watch Tara take the brunt of the damage.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 2: Victoria’s influence
Ashland Locke (Richard Burghi) has undergone a metamorphosis since Victoria Newman (Ameila Heinle) came into his life, and she’s going to continue being there to help him as much as possible.
She already got him considering treatment for his illness, and it looks like she’s going to be instrumental to helping him make another decision.
This thing is, we’re not sure what else she can encourage him to do that she hasn’t already, and we’re thinking she may propose marriage.
It’s something we expected to happen prior to this, and if they do get married she’ll be able to ensure all of his life’s work will be there for his son and it’ll also allow him to relax and focus solely on his treatment.
