Right now, Jeff Hardy is in an odd place within WWE. Over recent months, he’s been barely featured on programs like Monday Night RAW, and would lose to matches with the likes of Veer on Main Event. However, things were looking up when he became the first man to defeat the dominant NXT Champion, Karrion Kross.
This was a messy and controversial result, as Hardy cheated to win, but he was able to win all the same. He even brought back his iconic classic theme song of No More Words, but it will be a few weeks before fans hear it again, as he confirms a positive case of COVID-19.
Jeff Hardy Cancels Upcoming Fan Event Appearances
This news comes from recordbar, who posted the following earlier today. “We regret to inform you that the event with Jeff Hardy to take place on Monday July 26, 2021 at recordBar in Kansas City, MO will have to be postponed to a later date. Jeff Hardy just tested positive for covid this morning, and will have to quarantine for the next two weeks, and will not be participating in any live events for the next two weeks.”
This obviously means he won’t be in action for WWE during atleast the next two weeks, perhaps even longer depending on the long term effects that could come with the virus. He does have a feud waiting for him after the first match with Kross, but this might be something that needs to wait anyways.
A Good Thing For Karrion Kross
Right now in NXT, Kross is out of control. He recently took out NXT GM William Regal, and is set for a collision with Samoa Joe, likely at NXT Takeover 36. This feud could be what finally sends him out of NXT, and puts him up to Monday Night RAW full time. Hopefully this time, he comes alongside Scarlett, who can help him avoid flash finishes.
