Thomas Markle’s decision to go to court in order to gain access to see his grandchildren is likely to fail.
Lawyer Claims Thomas Markle Will Fail In His Legal Battle To Seeing His Grandkids
That is according to Mark Gross, who happens to be a well-renowned celebrity lawyer. According to reports, Thomas is ready to file legal action after his failed attempts to get into contact with his daughter Meghan Markle.
Despite all his enthusiasm, Mark claimed that Thomas has one big hurdle to cross. The court has to be convinced that the benefits of visitation outweigh the drawbacks. In a statement, Mark remarked: “[There has to be a] substantial relationship between the grandparent and the children.
“It has to be in the best interest of the children to have a relationship with the grandparent.” This is unlikely to aid Thomas, as he is not on speaking terms with Meghan. This also includes Harry too.
Thomas has previously spoken about how Harry had hung up the phone during their last conversation. At that time, Thomas was in the hospital and naturally angry at Harry’s behaviour. All this is not going to do Thomas’ case any good.
Mark added: “With no relationship established between Mr Markle and his grandchildren, there is no path that any court would give him for visitation.” In order to aid his stance, Thomas has been very vocal in the media about how he has been hard done by.
This has included statements of support from Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle. She has claimed that it has been unjust for Meghan to deny Thomas the right to see his grandkids, and she has backed his legal case.
All this, though, is working against Thomas. Mark continued: “Giving interviews with his intentions of seeking visitation…isn’t in the best interest of the children…Any judge is going to look at that and have cause for concern.
“If he were my client, I would advise him to not give any.” Time will tell whether Thomas will end up winning his case. Regardless of what happens, this saga is not going to die down anytime soon. And the only thing that we can do is wait to see how it transpires.
