This past Tuesday on WWE NXT, we’d see a return to NXT. During the match between Sarray & Gigi Dolin, Mandy Rose would make her way onto the stage. She wouldn’t interfere in the match, instead just observe two of the up and coming talents on the brand. However, fans were curious why she was here instead of Monday Night RAW, and we now know that Rose is back to NXT full time.
Mandy Rose Didn’t Spend Much Time In NXT Before Being Called Up
After making her debut for WWE in the 2016 edition of Tough Enough, Rose would barely spend a year in NXT before going up to RAW alongside Paige & Sonya Deville as part of the short lived Absolution faction. Since then, she’s been mainly in tag teams alongside Deville or recently Dana Brooke.
Rose has proven to be solid in the ring, but there is room for improvement. Adding her into the NXT Women’s division gives the division a notable name to WWE fans, and could allow Rose to fully reach her potential in the ring. She could be entering the singles division, hence her interest in a rising star in Sarray, but could she not be the only one to come down to NXT?
Will Dana Brooke Follow Her Down To NXT?
Someone else in a similar boat to Rose was her current tag team partner. Dana Brooke got called up long before she was ready, coming up alongside Emma in a short lived partnership. Since then, she’s been a protege of Charlotte Flair, floundered in the singles division, before finally finding a fitting role in a thrown together tag team alongside Rose. Now even that might be done.
With Rose now in NXT, it might make sense for Brooke to follow her. There is a gap in the NXT Women’s Tag Team division following the breakup of former champions, Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart, as Shotzi has been moved to Smackdown. WWE has a chance to really build these two up as a tag team, and if they don’t go this route, you have to wonder what could be planned for Brooke.
