For weeks now on WWE NXT, we have been seeing some odd video packages. They would simply feature a battery charging, slowly rising as shows and weeks passed, getting closer and closer to 100%. Everyone knew this had to signal a return from injury, but there were a few solid options. There was Kona Reeves, Ridge Holland, and the most popular theory of Tegan Nox. Last night, the battery hit 100% and fans had mostly guessed right as Tegan Nox made her return to NXT.
Tegan Nox Is Back After Another Leg Injury, Influences NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Change
For someone still so young in her career, Tegan Nox has had insanely bad luck when it comes to injuries. This is her third ACL injury since signing with WWE back in 2017. The injury was suffered around September 2020, and she was written off from TV via a backstage attack from Candice LeRae.
This made it all the more fitting that the charger hit 100% during the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship match, where LeRae & Indi Hartwell were defending against the new duo of Io Shirai & Zoey Stark. Her return was enough to distract the champs, and allow Stark to lay out Hartwell to get the win.
One Of The Few To Have Beaten Raquel Gonzalez
Aside from instantly starting her feud with Candice LeRae back up, Tegan Nox has another high profile opponent on her radar. She is one of the few to have a pinfall victory over current NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez. Add in the bad blood between Nox and former best friend Dakota Kai, and we have a highly combustible situation on our hands.
Nox has worked hard to return from every injury, and always comes back with more and more fire. This time will likely be no exception, as she is determined to finally win gold within WWE. Fans have been eager for Nox to return ever since she started to provide positive updates a few months back, and it will be interesting to see what she accomplishes now that she’s back.
