When you think of the four hardest hitters in all of NXT, you’re probably going to think of Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan, Timothy Thatcher & Tommaso Ciampa. Tonight, those four will clash in a tag team match, one which is sure to leave someone sore by the end. It could even help to determine the next challengers for MSK, who recently narrowly defeated Thatcher & Ciampa.

Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher Are Laser Focused

Thatcher & Ciampa would have their eyes locked on their opponents from the moment they walked out. Dunne would start with Thatcher, who quickly got him in a hammerlock. Thatcher blocked an ankle pick, before entering a test of strength with Dunne. He’d win and look for an armbar, before Dunne slipped out and went back to the ankle. These guys aren’t just hard hitters, they’re insane mat technicians.

Dunne looked for a triangle choke, before Thatcher countered into a single leg boston crab. Once free, Lorcan & Ciampa got tags, with Ciampa grabbing a headlock. Lorcan fought free and started the stiff strikes with some chops to Ciampa, before being sent through the ropes and to the floor with a knee strike. Ciampa pulled him right back into the ring, before tagging Thatcher back into the match.

Thatcher would tie up the arm of Lorcan up, before tagging Ciampa back in to stomp an isolated Lorcan. Ciampa welcomed the tag to Dunne, and would regret this as Dunne nailed a hard clothesline in the middle of the ring. Dunne would be taken down with a snapmare, with Ciampa isolating the arm before hitting some hammerfists. Ciampa would almost have his fingers snapped, before sending Dunne to the outside and into the barricade.

    Ridge Holland Is Back

Throughout the Picture-in-Picture break, Dunne & Lorcan would retake control of the match, isolating and beating down Thatcher. They’d even find time to taunt Ciampa, adding fuel to a dangerous fire. Dunne would get Thatcher in a surfboard stretch as Lorcan nailed some heavy handed chops. Thatcher tried to fight free, but Lorcan would play the defense well, until a chop to the face.

Lorcan fired back with some chops to the face himself, before Thatcher broke free and tagged in Ciampa. He’d run down both opponents with a neverending series of corner lariats, before nailing a running double lariat. Dunne would nail a heavy forearm before a German Suplex. Ciampa had his hands stomped before countering Bitter End into the Fujiwara armbar.

On the outside Thatcher got an ankle lock on Lorcan, before being attacked by a returning Ridge Holland! All alone, Ciampa would be overwhelmed and nailed with the Bitter End. Holland would align himself with Lorcan & Dunne, helping to beat down both Ciampa & Thatcher.

A stiff scrap of a match, but one with a letdown of a finish due to the shock return of Ridge Holland. All four men got some heavy blows in, but it wasn’t meant to be the focus of this segment. Match Rating: 3/5 ()
