I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re all set to get WWE Smackdown Live Results rocking and rolling at the 8 p.m. EST start time with a live audience in attendance.
Rumor has it we’re also going to see a new Smackdown set that’ll be like a theatrical experience and we can’t wait.
Segment 1
Vince McMahon came out to a packed arena and asked, “Where the hell have you been?” then headed into the back in what was the perfect welcome after 70 weeks.
Segment 2
Roman Reigns and the Usos vs. Edge and the Mysterios
Jey ambushed Edge while Reigns feigned getting into the ring, and after and exchange it became abuse Dominik night as Reigns powerbombed him onto the announce desk as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
A mini brawl broke out on the floor and Jey rolled up Rey for the win with an assist to a handful of tights.
Afterwards, the Usos attacked the Mysterios and Edge took them out with a chair and then took a Superman Punch.
Edge then hit a spear and used a chair’s bar to make Reigns tap out to a crossface to send a message for MITB.
Segment 4
Seth Rollins told Edge he hopes he wins so he can finish what he didn’t seven years ago.
Finn Balor returns to Smackdown and takes out Sami Zayn during his latest tirade.
Segment 5
Natalya and Tamina vs. Shotzi and Nox
This was a quick match Nox won by rolling up Natalya while she was distracted by Liv Morgan and Zelina Vega fighting at the announce desk.
Morgan took both of them out and stood tall in the ring and pointed to the MITB briefcase.
Segment 6
Bianca Belair (c) vs. Carmella
This started fast with Belair in control, but Carmella pulled her into the ring post and then bounced her off the barricade a couple of times as we headed to commercial.
Segment 7
Carmella came close to winning, but Belair hit a hair whip and a KOD for the win.
Segment 8
Otis w/Chad Gable vs. Cesaro
Cesaro won by DQ when Gable hit a German Suplex, and Otis then saved Gable from a swing and hit a Vader Bomb to send a message.
Segment 9
Baron Corbin said he’s about to lose his house and started a Corbin Fund and begged the fans for help.
Kevin Owens came out, and Corbin insulted his wardrobe while begging so Owens hit him with a stunner.
Segment 10
Fatal 4 Way – Kevin Owens vs. Big E vs. King Shinsuke Nakamura w/Rick Boogs vs. Seth Rollins
Rollins tried to leave, so Big E hit a spear on him through the ropes, Owens hit Big E with a senton over the ropes, and Nakamura hit Owens with a running knee as we headed to commercial.
Segment 11
This was a fast but exciting match as Owens hit an elbow drop from the top of a ladder on Nakamura and put him through the announce desk.
Rollins Stomped Big E on a ladder in the ring for the pin, then climbed a ladder to retrieve the briefcase in a symbolic act.
This show had some fun moments and flowed a lot better than their previous ones, but that may be more to do with the crowd being back.
We could feel the energy coming through the television and it was awesome.
