Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
This should be an interesting night as Roman Reigns turns his attention to Finn Balor for their SummerSlam match, and there’s rumors Sasha Banks will return.
We can’t wait to get things going and will be back at the 8 p.m. EST to kick off WWE Smackdown Live Results!
Segment 1
John Cena came out and insulted Reigns, saying he refused his challenge because Reigns knows he’d embarrass him.
A few more insults followed, and Baron Corbin came out. After Cena gave him next to nothing, Corbin called him a Hollywood sellout and Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment.
Segment 2
Rey Mysterio w/Dominik Mysterio vs. Jimmy Uso w/Jey Uso
This started out pretty smooth as Jimmy took the early advantage before Rey sent him to the floor. After ducking Rey’s slide, Jimmy hit with a superkick as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
An exciting match saw Rey pull out all the stops and and countered a Samoan Drop into a crucifix rollup for the win.
Segment 4
Bianca Belair was being interviewed in the ring when Carmella and Zelina Vega came out. After they attacked, Sasha Banks ran out to save Belair.
Segment 5
24/7 Championship – Reggie (c) vs. Chad Gable w/Otis
This was a quick one Reggie won by DQ after Otis grabbed him and threw him to the floor, but Reggie landed on his feet and somersaulted up the ramp.
Segment 6
Reigns signed the contract, but Baron Corbin attacked Balor and threw him out of the ring then tried to sign it himself.
Cena came out and threw him out of the ring and signed the contract in one of the laziest ways to set up a Triple Threat or Fatal Four Way we’ve seen.
Segment 7
Cesaro, Big E, and King Nakamura w/Rick Boogs vs. Dolph Ziggler, Robbet Roode, and Apollo Crews w/ Commander Azeez
Crews sent Big R to the floor where Roode and Ziggler hit a Zigzag-Spinebuster double team as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
This was a pretty good match Nakamura won after hitting Crews with a kinsasha for the pin.
Segment 9
Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair vs. Carmella and Zelina Vega
Belair and Banks controlled through most of the opening part, with Belair press slamming Banks on their opponents as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
Banks made Carmella tap out to the Bank Statement, and while she and Belair celebrated, she attacked Belair and locked on a Bank Statement twice, the second closing the show.
Looks like the rumors she was going to challenge Belair were true. This was a pretty decent show overall. What did you think of it?
