I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re set for what should be an interesting show tonight. Added to the mystery is after Bayley’s injury, who will take her place against Bianca Belair at MITB?
We’ll be back for the 8 p.m. EST showtime to get WWE Smackdown Live Results off and running.
Segment 1
Roman Reigns called Edge out for lying about him last week, then brought the Usos back together and the family is stronger than ever.
Segment 2
Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Baron Corbin vs. King Nakamura w/Rick Boogs
Big E took his place on his couch at ringside, and Nakamura showed up in Corbin’s repossessed Mercedes.
Corbin attacked him outside the ring, and Boogs three Corbin into the barricade as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
The match went back and forth before Corbin dropped Boogs on the floor with a right and nailed a brainbuster on Nakamura on the announce table as we headed to commercial.
Segment 4
This was a really good match that Nakamura won with a kinsasha after a great back and forth between them.
Segment 5
Shotzi and Nox vs. Tamina and Natalya
In a surprise match, Shotzi and Nox got the win after Shotzi hit a senton off the top rope on Natalya.
Segment 6
Sonya Deville announced Bianca Belair will defend her title next week instead of at MITB against Carmella, and Liv Morgan was given Carmella’s MITB spot.
Segment 7
Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro
This started off fast, but Cesaro frustrated Rollins after hitting a crossbody off the top rope for a pin attempt.
Rollins headed to the floor and tore apart the announce desk while Kevin Owens, who joined the commentary team, mocked him as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
The back and forth continued and Cesaro suplexed both of them over the top rope to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 9
After Cesaro hit an exposed turnbuckle to bust him open, Rollins focused on his head and hit a Stomp for the win.
Segment 10
Rollins cut a promo about how he should be facing Reigns instead of being in the MITB match and Edge came up to him and mocked his whining and said he’s going to call out Reigns, which Rollins would never do.
Segment 11
Edge called Reigns out and the Usos joined him despite being told to stay in the back.
The Mysterios attacked the Usos with chairs while Edge chased Reigns from the ring. Edge then alternated his crossface with the piece of a chair while the Mysterios held them.
Reigns closed the show by heading to the back and leaving the Uso in the ring.
This was a pretty good show until the ending. The Mysterios and Edge felt more like heels than faces and it just seemed off.
