‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set for some more spoilery goodness as Genoa City is starting to heat up for their big moment this week.
We’ve decided to go with marshmallows instead of popcorn for this one as it’ll be a slow burn and build and we’re going to need the sugary boost at some point this week.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 2: Adam’s foiled
Looks like we could’ve seen some fun Newman family feuding, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will put a damper on things when he stops Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) from retaliating against Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

This is going to be an interesting change since Victor hasn’t been ready to defend Victoria from anything for a while, but it could also be his way of getting even with Adam for nixing his plans for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers also think there’s a good chance this is another way for Victor to keep the peace while silently playing favorites to get the kids to be more creative in their competition for his respect.
What’s going to be interesting is how will Adam take being denied. Victor may equate it to Billy, but we have a feeling Adam will take his sister’s action a little more personally.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 2: Phyllis sits down with Eric Forrester
In her quest to save her daughter’s name and destroy Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will fly to Los Angeles to meet with an old friend.
While that list is extensive, we expect it to be Eric Forrester (John McCook), and he’ll be more than willing to dish on Sally and what he knows.
We’re willing to be he didn’t believe her when she called him, but hoped she had turned over a new leaf.
She’ll get everything she wants and needs before heading back, making their next confrontation a fun one.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 2: Jack and Kyle are concerned
With Tara and Sally’s shenanigans being dug into, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are going to have a little chat about how they have reservations about Tara’s intentions.
This won’t be more than a casual conversation between them but we’re sure Tara will be eavesdropping and we’re curious what her plan will be if she does hear them.
