Jake Paul’s relationship with Jorge Masvidal has quickly soured. Jorge Masvidal believes Tyron Woodley will take the win over Jake Paul in their boxing match this weekend, which has upset Paul enormously.
Paul, a professional YouTuber who recently took up boxing against the UFC’s retirees, took the opportunity to insult Masvidal’s intelligence.
Jake Paul Ends Friendship with Jorge Masvidal: “maybe he’s losing a couple brain cells”
“I wasn’t surprised by Masvidal. He has the same managers as Woodley and the guy’s kind of an airhead. Let’s be honest, Masvidal’s not smart. Does anyone listen to a Masvidal interview and go, ‘wow, that guy’s intellectual and he’s a smart guy and the way he talks, he’s very well spoken.’ I don’t think anyone says that.
He’s a street fighter, gangster, who got knocked the f*ck out in his last fight, so maybe he’s losing a couple brain cells.”
Jorge Masvidal’s last fight was a knockout loss to Kamaru Usman, widely considered one of the top pound-for-pound fighters on the planet. When Jake Paul was fighting Ben Askren, Masvidal was happy to train alongside the YouTube star, cashing in on his own public rivalry with Askren. Famously, Masvidal knocked Askren out via flying knee in only seven seconds when they faced off in the Octagon.
Paul continued, expressing his distaste for Masvidal “switching up”. “Hoes will be hoes. B*tches will be b*tches.
If you want to switch up and act like that one moment he’s my friend, texting me saying, ’Let’s train, let’s do a video together. You come to my bakery down the street I want to do a little thing with you.’ Then, oh, snap, all of a sudden he wants to switch up? That’s not how I was raised. Not here in Ohio.
If I’m your friend, I’m your friend. If he wants to switch up, hoes will be hoes.”
Masvidal took the opportunity to Tweet at Paul in response, reminding the younger man to concentrate on himself and his boxing match this weekend.
“I guess this means you’ll stop hitting me up now on social media to hang out and train,” Masvidal wrote. “Don’t worry about me you got a handful of problems coming your way.”
Jake Paul, for his part, would be happy to put on his gloves and settle the pair’s differences in the ring. “I would love to fight Masvidal”, he said. “I think it could very, very much so happen.”
Would you want to see a Paul vs Masvidal fight in future, or should Jorge concentrate on returning to winning ways in the UFC? Let us know in the comments.
