The faction wars in ROH have been getting more and more intense, and tonight we will see eight man tag team action between La Faccion Ingobernable and VLNCE UNLTD. Brody King is back in action after a bout with COVID-19, and will lead Homicide, Chris Dickinson, and Tony Deppen into battle against RUSH, La Bestia Del Ring, Kenny King, and Dragon Lee. We can’t expect much pure wrestling in this one, with these factions more keen to fight it out.
This One Gets Thrown Out And Restarted
This one was ready to explode even before the bell rang, with Homicide & Dragon Lee starting off. Lee would go after Deppen instead, trying to get him angry. Homicide tagged him in, and they’d run back their last match with a flurry of dodges and counters. Deppen would blow his nose in an LFI flag before being jumped by all of LFI.
This match was already thrown out, as control was lost. It will be deemed a no-contest, with the fans pissed about this result. Homicide would lead a bullshit chant, and RUSH wanted this as no DQ. They’d start to brawl, and there was seemingly no match. The referee couldn’t stop this, and Brody King got into the ring and called out that they’re in the ECW arena and no one came for a two minute match. He’d call for a Philly Street Fight, and got his wish.
This one was started back up and it’s street fight time! Deppen & Lee still took the ring to wrestle, as everyone brawled around the ring. They’d trade forearms as RUSH & King found by the timekeepers table. Everyone would stand and watch as they slapped each other out, with Deppen winning out with a big knee to the jaw and German Suplex, before a giant lariat.
Only now RUSH would get in the ring, only to be attacked by the ROH World Tag Team Champions. Oddly, King & Bestia would stand by until Homicide grabbed a fork. King would kick Dickinson in the head before taking Brody would get into the ring and take King out. Bestia grabbed a chair and got this really started to look like a street fight.
VLNCE UNLTD Brings The Carnage In Street Fight
RUSH would whip Deppen with some cables, as some tables were set up. LFI were controlling the ring, as more and more weapons entered the ring. Homicide & Bestia would brawl, with Bestia winning as Homicide took some trash can shots to the face. He still had the fork, but was dropped.
Brody was thrown face first into the apron, and Homicide into the barricade. The ladder entered the ring, with Deppen drop kicking it into Lee & King. Deppen hit the Deep End Dive, and Homicide was dropped with a lariat before Bestia applied an Eastern Stretch. A fan’s chair was stolen by Deppen, before he put the ladder around the neck of Homicide who was a spinning mess that got all of LFI.
King went after Homicide and took a cutter before hitting the shotgun knees into the ladder. Dickinson put a trash can on the head of King and kicked away. LFI would get Dickinson on the table at ringside, and King soared through it. Deppen was back into the fight, ready to go four on one. He’d throw chops, but it wasn’t enough. Another table was set up in the ring, with Deppen placed onto it. Bestia went up top but Brody planted him through with a powerbomb. Brody was met by Dragon Lee, but threw it him out onto a mass of bodies. One huge lariat later, and VLNCE UNTLD wins.
A weird angle but one that set up a killer street fight. Lee & Deppen brought the wrestling, while everyone else brought a brawl. It took a while to get moving, but it was incredible once it got there. Match Rating: 3.75/5 (*** 3/4)
Shane Taylor Promotions would attack LFI after the ring, as VLNCE UNLTD watched with big smiles. What will be next for the faction war of ROH? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
