Bray Wyatt has been the talk of wrestling fans everywhere after the WWE made a splash they shouldn’t have when they released the talented and highly popular Wyatt, and now Ronda Rousey has weighed in.
Rousey has never been shy about sharing her opinions, and it’s one of the thing that’s attracted fans to her from her UFC days through her time in the WWE and beyond.
It’s also the reason many fans either don’t pay her any mind or jump on her because she’s blunt with her opinions.
It’s the joys of being a celebrity and the world we live in.
In this case, she went after the fans that weren’t Bray Wyatt supporters during his run as the Fiend.
I’ve seen you same “fans” chanting #WeWantWyatt last night chanting “We want beach balls” over @WWEBrayWyatt performing. If the @wwe treated him like he was expendable it was because you ungrateful idiots did first

The fans started it
As is the case with every wrestler there are detractors. They were vocal on social media, often criticizing his Fiend gimmick as boring and so on, and some chanted “We want beach balls” when he performed.
However, he was also the most over WWE Superstar as was evident when he’d come out. When his opponents would gain the upper hand boos drowned out everything else.
His merchandise sales were also reported to be among the best if not the bast as he allegedly sold out.
If a minority amount of fans jeer a wrestler, which has always happened, it’s hard to imagine they would be released.
Does this mean we think she’s wrong? Not at all. It just seems unlikely and there are other possibilities at play as well.
A shocked locker room
As reported in wrestlingnews.co ( https://wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/wwe-locker-room-doesnt-believe-the-reason-given-for-bray-wyatts-release/ ), the morale in the locker room is reportedly low and no one feels their position is secure no matter their status.
If true, this points to a possibility that there was some other factors involved, which could be anything from what Rousey said to creative differences to friction despite reports that things were fine between Wyatt and others backstage.
The fact his Fiend lives on with Alexa Bliss’ Lily and the Lily dolls sold out looks like the WWE were preparing to part ways with him for a while despite his earning potential.
Other possible reasons
Creative differences could’ve played a part as well if he took the Undertaker’s words to protect his character to heart and refused to do certain things.
Anything could be the reason, but because a minority of fans didn’t like him seems like a stretch.
Remember how the fans deafeningly booed Goldberg after he beat him, and then when Goldberg arrived on the following Smackdown?
Maybe he was released because of the fans.
But maybe it was because he was too over and Jim Ross and Ryback have stated over the last couple of years they believe the WWE doesn’t want superstars and want fans to pay to see the WWE brand than a wrestler’s name as a draw.
There’s definitely a thousand different ways we can look at this and find reasons, and until someone come out and says why he was really released we’ll never know.
