CM Punk wasn;t going to miss the biggest episode of AEW Dynamite to date. He’s in action this Friday on Rampage when he faces off against Powerhouse Hobbs of Team Taz. That’ll be his first TV match in over seven years! But tonight he will step into the ring for an interview segment that might just invite Team Taz out to get some blows in ahead of the match. Punk wasn’t born yesterday and has been in this industry a long time – and will surely have a plan just in case.
CM Punk Is Pissed Off
Having to follow up the insane Omega vs. Danielson‘s match would be hard for anyone, but CM Punk was one of the few men who could pull this off. He’d get a thunderous applause from the fans as Cult of Personality hit – the hype not being close to gone with his return to professional wrestling. It’s a great song to sing along too, and CM Punk has the crowd in the palm of his hands as soon as it hits.
He’d comment that he’s glad to not be wrestling because how do you follow that?! Punk would say it’s been a long time since New York had professional wrestling like this. Fans have been wanting a pissed off CM Punk, and Team Taz is going to bring it out of him. His only reason to be mad right now is that he was jumped from behind last week.
However when his music hits, it’s a love fest. He loves being back in the ring for the fans, and Team Taz wants to take this away. It’s been so long since he needed this rush, and no one will take it from him. Professional wrestling is his once again – and it’s hard to deny. Last week, Hobbs should have finished the job. Cuz now CM Punk is awake and is going to put Powerhouse Hobbs to sleep.
