Once upon a time, Brian Cage was the ace of Team Taz. However, when he started doing the unthinkable, and starting to show respect for his opponents? Things just weren’t working out. Thus hatched a plot for Ricky Starks to take the FTW Championship for himself. Now Cage is working his way back to a title shot, and tonight will clash with Powerhouse Hobbs one on one.
Powerhouse Hobbs Gets Some Helps From His Friends
Powerhouse Hobbs wouldn’t even get to reach the ring before Cage rushed him down. This pre-match attack would see Hobbs thrown into the barricade, before getting into the ring. Hook would run a quick distraction to give Hobb a chance, and he’d crush Cage with a body block in the middle of the ring.
Cage would be slammed into the corner, but was able to slip out the second time. Hobbs would fight off a German Suplex attempt, before being dropped with a running forearm. Some knees to the ribs would punish Cage, and when he’d try to get back into the fight he was run down with a lariat.
Hobbs would be in complete control, and look for a powerbomb. Cage would slip out and hit a flatliner to get some space. The comeback was coming, and an exploder suplex would follow. Hobbs took a running back elbow and German Suplex, but was able to kick out at two. Cage would look for Drillclaw, but Hobbs countered and would nail the Last Will & Testament spinebuster for a two count.
Hobbs would argue with the referee instead of following up, a mistake as Cage hit a knee strike and the Deep Sea Diver. Cage would pull Hobbs from the apron into the ring with a suplex, and Hook ran a distraction as Starks appeared and used the FTW Championship to knock Cage out. A powerslam would end this one, but this battle is far from over.
Paul Wight Clears The Factory Out
QT Marshall & The Factory would take the ring, and call out Paul Wight. He wants to talk to him man to man, heavyweight to heavyweight. Wight would walk into the ring but send The Factory flying before nailing some huge right hands and a chokeslam. Aaron Solow would be swatted out of the air, before Gunn Clubb came to the ring to even the numbers.
QT Marshall wanted to use a chair, but Billy Gunn was able to make the save… before he turned on Paul. A chair shot to the hip would take him down, and it’s clear that The Gunn Club have now left Nightmare Family. The second chairshot to the head would put Paul Wight down. QT would hit the Diamond Cutter, and the damage was done.
Could QT Marshall get the win after the damage done tonight? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
