If there’s one release the WWE will be kicking themselves for it’s going to be releasing Bray Wyatt.
While his going to AEW is a rumor that’s reportedly becoming more of a reality with each passing day, and now with the possibility that he’ll be able to appear prior to his 90 non-compete clause makes it even more exciting.
With tonight’s AEW Dynamite taking place in the late Brodie Lee’s hometown of Rochester, New York, it’s likely we’ll see Wyatt debut with AEW tonight in an homage to his close friend.
And while that’s been the talk of the news lately, there’s also a reported mystery match on AEW Rampage that’ll be announced tonight and we think it’ll be Wyatt’s first AEW match.
A ready made monster
After his release from the WWE, Wyatt added a not to his bio on Instagram that read “Kult of Windham” which gave a hint to what he planned for the future.
There were plenty of reports that he was honing and adding to his Fiend character in the WWE, and since he reportedly didn’t buy into Vince McMahon’s way according to Freddie Prince Jr., AEW will benefit from his genius.
All it’ll take is a little tweaking and he’ll be allowed to do his thing in AEW more than he was in the WWE.
And since it’s been reported by Dave Meltzer that the mystery match will be taped as part of Dynamite’s live show tonight, we could get a very real first look at Wyatt’s new gimmick.
Kult of Windham
There’s been plenty of rumors and discussions about Wyatt taking over the Dark Order, but while that’s still likely, we expect it to be more of a returning lost prince.
We also think Erick Redbeard and/or Braun Strowman will be at his side as his enforcer and the Dark Order’s split will continue and some will join the Kult of Windham while the rest will be try to resist and usher in Wyatt’s new monster gimmick.
This will begin the first real push for his new faction and they’ll eventually cast off the weaker Dark Order members that don’t agree with him and we’ll be off and running.
This is nothing but speculation on our part, but we’d love to see it happen and for him to give an homage to Brodie in his hometown.
It’s almost too perfect, and for that reason there’s plenty of doubt surrounding it. What do you think? Will Bray Wyatt appear tonight or on Friday? Let us know in the comments below.
