This past Wednesday night saw one of the best episodes of AEW Dynamite ever, all in celebration of the life of Mr. Brodie Lee. During a six man tag team match which saw Hangman Page, John Silver & Alex Reynolds take on Inner Circle members MJF, Santana & Ortiz, some backup was needed.
Behind the back of the referees, Wardlow would enter the ring to try and steer the match in the direction of Inner Circle, but Erick Rowan was there to help.
Of course, Erick Rowan was a man who knew Brodie Lee very well. During their time together in WWE, they were rarely seen apart. They were members of The Wyatt Family, they were The Bludgeon Brothers, and even teamed up in 2019 to take on Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns.
That last match was one of the last Brodie had with WWE. They shared many hours on the road, and it wouldn’t have been right to do a tribute show without him.
Now though, fans are simply wanting to know, has he signed with AEW? Is Erick Rowan All Elite?
Erick Rowan Was Brought In As A One Off
Sadly, at the time of writing, Erick Rowan remains a free agent. He was simply brought in for the Brodie Lee tribute show, and that was all that was planned for Rowan in AEW. However, while this surprise debut was only meant to honour his fallen friend, anything can change.
Since Wednesday, there has been a lot of support for Rowan to be picked up by AEW. He would fit in nicely on the roster, which has other heavyweight monsters like Wardlow, Luchasarus, Lance Archer, The Butcher & Jake Hager.
Rowan would be able to easily fill the void left by Brodie Lee, and proved during his feud with Roman Reigns prior to his WWE release that he is great in the ring.
AEW has a chance to pick up another creative mind with Rowan, which would never be a bad thing when growing your company. Do you want to see Erick Rowan get signed to AEW? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
