Things are looking great for AEW with the addition of Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole, but there area a couple of pesky problems that have yet to be ironed out.
Danielson was greeted by fans going his Yes! chant and motion from his WWE days, but he didn’t take part wholly as he hopped down the ramp with his arms raised, but didn’t pump them.
It’s led to some wondering why he didn’t really go in and give the fans an even greater moment.
It’s something Danielson talked about after the show in the AEW All Out Post Media Scrum.
Special thanks to wrestlingrepublic.com for the following transcript.
“I don’t know, we’re going to have to talk about what I can do and what I can’t do, so I don’t know. So one of the things I do try to respect, because like I said I appreciate the people I worked for before, and respect their intellectual property and that kind of thing. I am trying to make sure I don’t contradict any of that and the fans doing it is great, but I’m not sure if I’m going to do it.”

Touch and go
The WWE has become known for holding onto some trademarks with a zeal that seems to border on vindictiveness at times, but we don’t think that’ll be the case here.
At least, not to the extent we’ve heard rumors about.
Since Danielson left the WWE amicably and he and Vince McMahon got along great and he respects the process, it’s very possible that McMahon will allow him to use the Yes! chant.
Assuming they get far enough along to contact McMahon. AEW may decide it’s easier and safer to just come up with something else.
If that’s the case, we doubt it’ll me a mimic of the Yes! chant as Danielson’s not the type to do something borderline like that.
We have to admit, it was cool seeing the Yes! chant once again and it’ll be great if he’s allowed to use it in AEW as it’ll keep that connection to the fans intact.
We’ve missed seeing Danielson in the ring, so we’re really looking forward to seeing his first match and feud in AEW heat up.
This is definitely going to be a fun ride and they may need to extend Rampage another hour at this rate.
