Soon, Will Ospreay will bring a new member into the United Empire faction. He’s been teasing names on Twitter, namely Buddy Matthews and Braun Strowman – however there is one name he should have kept out of his mouth. He’d tease Chris Hero showing up, which while an exciting prospect – isn’t likely to happen given the reaction from Hero on Twitter.
Chris Hero Doesn’t Want To Be Used To Advertise A Show He Has Nothing To Do With
The original tweet hyping up Hero in NJPW read the following. “Oh I’m such a tease. You’ve guessed old friends, old buddies & monsters. You’ll know soon enough, a ℍ𝕖𝕣𝕠 will come and save NJPW.” While this initially got a good response from fans, it didn’t get one from Hero himself. He initially replied with just “No.” on September 15th, before coming back to this with a longer tweet earlier today.
“I’m guessing you didn’t see or care about my tweet so allow me to be a little more clear,
Will Ospreay – Delete this. Don’t use my name to tease fans into thinking that I may be appearing at this show. Do you understand?” was the expanded tweet. Hero simply doesn’t want fans showing up expecting him at the event and getting crap for not being there, all because Ospreay wanted to build hype.
Loyal To Pro Wrestling NOAH
There are fans who would love to see Hero in NJPW, especially given his classic match with Tomohiro Ishii in Rev Pro – but it’d be unlikely to happen. When it comes to Japan, Hero is loyal to Pro Wrestling NOAH and Mitsuharu Misawa. A massive fan of the Four Pillars and the Kings Road style, NOAH was always the destination in Japan for Hero.
If we see him show up for a Japanese company when he returns to the ring – it will likely be for NOAH who are on the rise once again. This could all be a swerve, we don’t know who will show up at Autumn Attack as the partner of Will Ospreay. However, Hero isn’t one to joke around, and I wouldn’t expect him to show up.
Who do you think will be the partner of Will Ospreay at Autumn Attack? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
