Hello and welcome to Impact Wrestling Results!
Tonight looks like it’s going to be a fun one with the X-Division possibly entering into a tournament for the championship after Josh Alexander relinquishes it.
But first, we’ve got some Before The Impact, so let’s get to the action!
Before The Impact – John Skyler vs. Laredo Kid
Looks like we get another chapter in this one, and it looks like it’s going to be a fun one. These two have been great together.
Skyler slipped out to the floor as soon as the bell rang, then he slid back in and caught Laredo as he came in after he chased him.
Skyler’s out to prove himself tonight and it shows early on as he’s hammered on Laredo and locked in an abdominal stretch, but Laredo reversed it.
Skyler then countered with a hip toss and a senton for a pin attempt, and kept the pressure on with a backbreaker and more as he continued to work over Laredo.
Laredo blocked a suplex attempt and backed Skyler into a corner and nailed a couple of open hand strikes, but Skyler reversed his whip into the opposite corner.

Laredo kept fighting and hit a missile dropkick to send Skyler to the floor, then hit a springboard dive off the top rope. After throwing Skyler into the ring, he followed it up with a leaping forearm and a Mishinoku driver.
A 450 splash followed for a near pinfall, and Skyler grabbed the rope for extra measure.
Skyler countered a charge with a exploder into a corner, and then hit a doble underhook sitout powerbomb for a near pinfall, but Laredo fought back and they hit each other with a couple of clotheslines.
Skyler countered a hurricanranna into a Boston Crab, but Laredo rolled it over for a series of exchanged pinfalls attempts before Laredo finally rolled Skyler over for the win.
Josh Alexander Relinquishes X-Division Championship
Scott D’Amore gave us a recap of Josh Alexander using the Option C, and when Alexander came to the ring he explained that once he hands the title over he’s no longer champion and a tournament will start next week.
Alexander talked about his injury six years ago, but he thinks he can be the face of Impact Wrestling and to do that he needs the World Championship.
Christian Cage came out in response to that. The mutual respect between these two is evident and we’re so looking forward to their match at Bound For Glory.
Christian told him he respects him and his story, but he almost lost his career while Christian did for seven years and he had to scratch and claw to get it back and is now at the top.
He won’t lay down for Josh or anyone else as he intends to stay the champion, and if Alexander exercises Option C and he could walk away empty handed and urged him to think about it.

According to Christian, Alexander is the face of the X-Division, and after Bound For Glory he’ll be a face in the crowd.
Alexander thanked him for making his decision easier and handed the title to Scott. Ace Austin then came out with Madman Fulton flanking him to get into the party.
Austin talked about how close he came to beating Christian and becoming the youngest champion in Impact history and he’s not done with Christian yet, and accused of Alexander being obsessed with him.
He urged Josh to listen to Christian and be a proud champion like he was, and Alexander reminded him he’s the one that took it from him.
Fulton hit a big boot on Josh, and a brawl broke out. Christian beat down Austin and went to hit the Kill Switch on Fulton and Austin hit him in the eye with his cane.
What a way to start off the show and Impact Wrestling Results are loving it.
