On Before The Impact (BTI), George Iceman dropped some intel that he saw a man backstage in the Impact Zone that was seven feet tall.
He mentioned it could’ve been a janitor, but how many janitors are seven feet tall?
Iceman added that we’ll have to wait for tonight’s show to find out, and this opens the door for so many possibilities.
The main belief for us is he means Braun Strowman who was released by the WWE.
The monster among Impact
What brings him to mind is Impact Wrestling hasn’t been shy about making splashes with signings, but also Scott D’Amore dropped a hint about him recently at a Toronto baseball game.
He was there with Iceman and Josh Alexander and his wife, who was recording them.
Scott said Buddy Murphy was debuting that night, the same night Juice Robinson was jumped backstage, and to ask Iceman about it.
He then threw out, “Braun For Glory” in a nod to next month’s pay-per-view Bound For Glory. At the time, we mentioned it’s possible given how Impact has been bringing in the big men lately.
It could also have been D’Amore’s trolling the WWE and other companies with a possible tease that may or may not be true.
Someone we haven’t heard of
As much as we’d love to see Strowman with Impact Wrestling, there’s the possibility that it could be someone else that’s from the Indie circuit or an unknown that’s come up through Impact Wrestling’s system.
This may be the most likely given how much Strowman could cost, but would building the suspense like D’Amore did make sense if it wasn’t Strowman?
There are plenty of big men out there, so the sky’s the limit.
This is going to be fun finding out who it is later tonight, and this could be earth shattering if it happens.
But all we can do is wait and see. At least, it’s not going to be a long wait.
If Strowman does join Impact, it’s going to be awesome seeing him work with other giants like Shera, Madman Fulton, W. Morrissey, and Moose.
Talk about plenty of matchups and potential waiting to be had. And if it’s not him, well, we can’t have everything.
Maybe they’ll throw us a curve ball and it’ll be Paul Wight? At this rate, anything’s possible.
