WWE has released over 50 wrestlers over the past year, and we have already seen them appear on other promotions. It is currently reported that cuts are imminent in NXT with the new focus on younger wrestlers. This could mean that some of the top stars of NXT could be released.
However, one of these might not be cut but still could be let go with their contract running out. It is being reported soon after multiple reports of wrestling contracts ending like Kevin Owens and Pete Dunne. Additionally, it’s now being reported that Johnny’s contract will also be running very soon at the end of December. Fightful originally made these reports.
NXT losing another top talent
Johnny Gargano has been one of NXT’s top wrestlers for a while, with him having one of the best storylines in NXT. However, he has done nearly everything possible in NXT. He feels like one of the wrestlers that will be piler for NXT. After this report, it seems like it’s highly possible we may see Johnny Gargano leave NXT. Currently, Johnny’s run hasn’t been the best, but it seems like he’s not trying to be the top champion but is still easily a draw for the show.
Where could Johnny Gargano go?
At the moment, every contact that is reported to end usually means they are leaving WWE. All of the top wrestlers that have left go to AEW, but with AEW getting stacked, it’s very likely we could see Johnny somewhere else. One place where Johnny could go would be Impact Wrestling. Apart from that, it doesn’t feel like Johnny would go anywhere else. AEW could be a good place for Johnny but for some reason. It just doesn’t feel like he will end up there. There is also a possible roster call up in the works for Johnny instead of him leaving.
